 how. Following the release of their debut EP\, A Child Swimming\, Tāmaki'
 s hardest-working government funded industry plant are embarking on a 6 da
 te tour around Te Ika-a-Māui. Coming out through emerging local indie lab
 el T & M\, the first stop on the tour is just a start\, playing in an alle
 yway off Mercury Lane in the heart of Tāmaki. Get down and see what all t

 om the heart\, they create a blend of heavy angst\, catchy pop like hooks 
 and indie groove. Although continuously evolving as conversation does\, Gr
 oopChat originally draws inspiration from relationships and the world arou
 nd them. Their sound is influenced by britpop and flying nun bands of the 
 90s\, one of these being Elastica. With three years of consistent gigging 
 Groopchat has had the privilege to play some incredible shows like\, 95bFM
  Fancy New Band Showcase\, Othersway 2024\, Great sounds Great at Flying N
 un\, Public Service with Awning\, and Chris Knox’s book release with SJD
  and Don Mcglashan. With all this under their belt the Groopchat is defini
 tely not going to go dry\, as the band is getting ready to release their d
