 s Finishing School is Melbourne’s longest-running indie pop night\, and 
 this September they return to The Retreat with a night of 90s indie good-t
 imes. At its heart\, Mr. McClelland’s Finishing School has always been a
 n indie club. Sure\, we play pop\, rock\, soul\, funk and whatever else ta
 kes our fancy… But our heart lies with indie music\, and more specifical
 ly\, British indie music. On September 18\, we’re celebrating it all\; n
 ot just the descendants of this musical golden period\, but the antecedent
 s too. The stuff that came before and after that came to define an era of 
 British indie rock and pop. We’re gonna play stuff like Kula Shaker\, Lu
 sh\, The Manic Street Preachers\, Suede\, Ash\, Catatonia\, The Lightning 
 Seeds\, Ocean Colour Scene\, Sleeper\, Super Furry Animals… And that’s
