 >\n<p>Double Double. A Pop-up Critique of Visual Economy is a practice-bas
ed research project developed as a memory game with 22 non-identical pairs
from a delirious variety all across history of visual culture\, publishin
 g\, design\, and architecture.\n <br>\n <br>\n If modernity is one thing\,
it is divisiveness. Identity as we know it emerges from this experience\,
from the complex dynamic of domination and liberation and the struggle of
who-gets-what. While “we all have become cameras” (Deborah Levy)\, th
e game with doubles plays with this complexity. Along the development of t
he terms “double image” and “visual economy”\, Double Double explo
res the social\, political\, and material dimensions of image production a
 nd consumption.\n <br>\n <br>\n Conceived as a podium event\, the project
proposes an experimental\, collective mode of research into the politics o
f representation. The form of the game addresses and lays out the topic no
n-synthetically\, non-conclusively\, as an easy-to-access jumping board fo
r spontaneous personal association\, where even if you loose\, you win.&nb
sp\;</p>\n<p>The workshop is part of Non-Public Publics\, a series of even
ts organized by Make/Sense Research and the Institute Experimental Design
and Media Cultures (IXDM) at FHNW Basel\, and is embedded in the program o
 f the MESH festival 2026.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;</p>\n\nBoletos: https://e
