DESCRIPTION:Playful songs with handmade instruments - ICHI\, from Nagoya i
 n Japan\, is a one-man band who delights audiences of all ages with intera
 ctive shows and workshops. In his playful performances\, he combines handm
 ade instruments with steel-drum\, ping-pong balls\, typewriter\, toys & ev
 eryday objects. It's fun\, it's danceable\, it's exciting.‘What on earth
  is this?! It`s brilliant!’ STEVE LAMACQ ‘Hilarious & bonkers & brilli
 ant!’ LAUREN LAVERNEICHI's handmade instruments include the Stilt-bass\,
  Kalilaphone\, Balloon-pipes\, Hatbox-pedal-drum\, Tapumpet\, Percussion-s
 hoes & Hattrick-hat. He's often seen with a camera in his hand\, or his ha
 nds rooting through skips for materials for his musical inventions\, or hi
 s hands in the earth making human sized interactive earth xylophones\, as 
 he did at Bristol's FORAGE FESTIVAL and STARRY SKIES family festival.ICHI 
 tours extensively in Japan\, the UK\, Europe\, and further afield. He has 
 played at festivals worldwide and been championed by several BBC Radio DJs
 . Attendees can book either the workshop and performance together\, or jus
 t the performance. Under 2s are free\, but will need to sit on an adult's 
 lap due to the limited capacity of the venue\, unless access needs make th
 at problematic. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults who are a
 ccompanying a child for the workshop will not need to buy a workshop ticke
 t\, but they must buy a performance ticket if they also wish to attend the
  performance.The banquette seating is offered at a reduced price since som
 e of these seats will have a side-on view of the performance.Performance (
 2:30pm - 3:15pm)A feelgood set of original songs and tunes\, characterised
  by catchy melodies\, danceable rhythms and pleasing sensory sounds.Worksh
 op (3:45 - 4:45)This workshop is suitable for children aged 7-12 years and
  their families\, carers or guardians.In the workshop\, participants will 
 be invited to create a "bug pipe" and a "wind whistle." These projects are
  based on ICHI's practice of using found and recycled materials and materi
 als from nature. All the materials for the workshop will be provided.Works
 hop tickets are only required for the children attending\, and accompanyin
 g adults do not need to purchase a workshop ticket. If adults are also att
 ending the performance\, they will still need to have a ticket for that.If
