 inavischer Folkmusik. Mit ihrem neuen Studioalbum „Today May Be Tomorrow
 “ sind Rymden jetzt wieder auf Tour.\n\nDas schwedisch-norwegische Trio 
 besteht aus den ehemaligen Mitgliedern des Esbjörn Svensson Trios (e.s.t.
 )\, Dan Berglund und Magnus Öström\, sowie dem norwegischen Jazzpianiste
 n Bugge Wesseltoft. Die drei bezeichnen sich selbst gern als »Supergroup
 « – nicht nur des Jazz\, sondern der europäischen Musik generell. Das 
 ist nicht zu hoch gegriffen\, denn ihre Musik ist anspruchsvoll und zuglei
 ch zugänglich\; bei ihnen bedeutet experimentell nichts anderes\, als das
 s ihr Ansatz voller zeitgemäßer Ideen steckt.\n\nDer Sound von Rymden is
 t geprägt durch die Verbindung von akustischer Virtuosität mit elektroni
 scher Klangbearbeitung: Klavier\, Bass und Schlagzeug bleiben jederzeit kl
 ar erkennbar\, die elektronischen Effekte sind dabei nie Selbstzweck\, son
 dern dienen ausschließlich der klanglichen Erweiterung. Charakteristisch 
 sind klare melodische Motive\, komplexe rhythmische Strukturen und dynamis
 che Spannungsbögen zwischen Ruhe und Verdichtung.\n\nNach den Alben „Re
 flections & Odysseys“ (2019)\, „Space Sailors“ (2020) und „Valleys
  & Mountains“ (2023) schlagen Rymden mit ihrem neuen Studioalbum „Toda
 y May Be Tomorrow“ das nächste Kapitel auf. Während sich die Vorgänge
 ralben mit kosmischen Weiten und inneren wie äußeren Landschaften besch
 äftigten\, rückt das Trio nun das Thema Zeit in den Mittelpunkt – Erin
 nerung\, Wandel und die Ungewissheit dessen\, was vor uns liegt. Die cinea
 stische Weite\, die atmosphärische Dichte und die Verbindung aus kraftvol
 len Rhythmen und melodischer Klarheit bleiben erhalten\, werden jedoch st
 ärker nach innen geführt. Rymden bleiben Entdecker\, doch ihre Expeditio
 n führt weder durch den Weltraum noch über Täler und Berge. Sie führt 
 durch den aufgeladenen Augenblick der Gegenwart selbst: einen Ort\, an dem
  das Gestern wieder aufleben\, das Morgen bereits anbrechen und das Heute 
 niemals bloß das Heute sein kann.\n\nRymden haben Rockclubs und klassisch
 e Konzertsäle gefüllt\, sich in bewusstseinserweiternden Improvisationen
  verloren und Prog-Riffs gestemmt. Wer auf der Suche nach virtuoser Musika

 highest level. Since their formation\, the trio has combined acoustic jazz
  with electronic textures and influences from progressive rock\, classical
  music and Scandinavian folk traditions. With their new studio album “To
 day May Be Tomorrow”\, Rymden are back on tour.\n\nThe Swedish-Norwegian
  trio consists of former e.s.t. members Dan Berglund and Magnus Öström\,
  alongside Norwegian jazz pianist Bugge Wesseltoft. The three musicians of
 ten refer to themselves as a “supergroup” – not only within jazz\, b
 ut within European music as a whole. It is a fitting description: their mu
 sic is both sophisticated and accessible\, with experimentation serving no
 t as an end in itself\, but as a way of exploring fresh and contemporary m
 usical ideas.\n\nRymden’s sound is defined by the interplay of acoustic 
 virtuosity and electronic exploration. Piano\, bass and drums remain at th
 e heart of the music\, while electronic elements are never used as mere ef
 fects\, but as a means of expanding the sonic landscape. Clear melodic the
 mes\, complex rhythmic structures and dynamic arcs between intimacy and in
 tensity are central to their distinctive sound.\n\nToday May Be Tomorrow d
 oes not abandon the cosmos\, the landscape\, or the cinematic breadth of t
 he trio’s earlier work. Instead\, it draws those elements inward and onw
 ard\, into music concerned with time\, return and transformation\, while a
 llowing the album title’s darker resonance to remain present: the future
  is not guaranteed\, and tomorrow is no longer something that can be taken
  for granted. RYMDEN remain explorers\, but here the expedition is not sim
 ply through outer space\, nor across valleys and mountains. It is through 
 the charged present moment itself: where yesterday may be revisited\, tomo
 rrow may already be arriving\, and today may never be only today.\n\nFor t
