 op at Manchester Museum\, led by Leigh (@lilvampo). This session will intr
 oduce you to the basics of photography through a lecture and you'll get th
 e chance to go around the museum to apply your new knowledge. No previous 
 photography experience is required. Just bring your camera or phone and co

 ionA short introduction to the workshop\, the evening's activities and the
  museum space.20 minutes: Photography PresentationA beginner-friendly pres
 entation covering the fundamentals of photography and some practical techn
 iques to help you get more from your camera.60 minutes: Practical SessionW
 e will split into smaller groups and explore Manchester Museum\, putting t
 he techniques from the presentation into practice while experimenting with
  different ways of photographing the museum and its collections.30 minutes
 : Social and Photo SharingWe will come back together to share some of the 
 photographs taken during the session\, discuss what we have learned and me
 et other people interested in photography. What should you bring?Your phot
 ography medium:A phone or camera\, including digital cameras and DSLRs\, a
 nd also a lens cloth and spare batteries if you need.A notepad if you woul
 d like to take notes.Comfortable shoes\, as we will be moving around the m
 useum during the practical session. AccessibilityEntrance: Ramped access i
 s available from the pavement on Oxford Road to the front door. There is a
 lso ramp access from Bridgeford Street to the café.Getting Around: Lifts 
 in the Main Hall and near the Living Worlds gallery serve all floors.Seati
 ng: Rest areas with seating are available throughout the galleries and Mai
 n Hall. Portable folding stools can also be requested from the museum.Acce
 ssible parking is available at University of Manchester Car Park D on Boot
 h Street West\, postcode M15 6FH. Blue Badge bays are available on the gro
 und floor\, approximately a two-minute walk from the museum.If you have an

 ble as possible. Food and DrinkNo food or drink is permitted in the museum
  galleries\, apart from water\, preferably in a sealed container. Food and
