DESCRIPTION:silent green presents\n\nAna Roxanne\nBorn and raised in the Ba
 y Area\, composer and vocalist Ana Roxanne is currently based in New York 
 City. Most recently\, Roxanne channeled her heartbreak and grief into Poem
  1\, her second album and most unguarded statement to date. A blend of dec
 elerated jazz\, minimalism and vocal folk forms that's marked by an awaren
 ess of ambient musics\, the album plays out like catharsis\, finding hope 
 in the subtlety\, slowness and smoky sadness of its piano themes\, vulnera
 ble vocals and dissociated synthesizer drones.\n\nRoxanne grew up fascinat
 ed by jazz\, R&B and classical music\, locked into Bay Area radio and her 
 parents' record collections. After studying music she became involved in a
  choral programme that whisked her across the country. But it was a trip t
 o Uttarakhand\, India\, where she traveled to learn traditional Hindustani
  vocal techniques\, that truly reshaped her outlook. On her return to the 
 USA\, she enrolled at Oakland's Mills College and began sculpting her sign
 ature sound\, dubbing a handful of experiments on her debut EP ~~~. Origin
 ally passed around only to friends in 2015\, the record made its way to Le
 aving Records who reissued it in 2019 and its meditative\, restorative son
 gs struck a chord with listeners and critics alike.\n\nA year later\, Roxa
 nne signed with Kranky and released her debut album proper\, Because of a 
 Flower using a lifetime of inspiration and emotional anguish to drive song
 s that looped dreampop with West Coast new age sounds and trip-hop with cl
 assical music\, yet sounded startlingly personal.\n\nSince 2022\, she has 
 also been working as a composer and collaborator for film\, developed The 
 Great Animal Orchestra with artist Bernie Krause\, a commission for the Fo
 ndation Cartier. Most recently\, she composed the score for the feature fi
 lm First Light (2026) alongside director James L. Robinson. Reworking Beve
 rly Glenn-Copeland's timeless Old Melody for Keyboard Fantasies Reimagined
  in 2021\, Roxanne also worked alongside Brian Piñeyro (aka DJ Python) on
  the Natural Wonder Beauty Concept LP.\n\n\nClarice\nClarice is the minima
 list and experimental folk music project of Emma Weber. Combining voice\, 
 sound and silence\, her compositions explore music at its most intuitive. 
 Working on her own and in collaboration with nature and friends\, her proc
 ess is a way of careful listening and shared creation. She is also one thi
