DESCRIPTION:HAZE Despite building their reputation as a progressive rock b
 and\, Haze have always drawn on a wide variety of influences\, ranging fro
 m pop\, rock\, folk\, and metal to meandering psychedelic jams & tightly s
 tructured prog epics. Formed in Sheffield in the late 1970s by brothers Ch
 ris & Paul McMahon\, they established their reputation as one of the harde
 st working underground bands of the ‘80s and have continued to perform r
 egularly ever since\, including weekly live-streamed concerts during Lockd
 own. Their latest studio album\, The Water’s Edge\, was reviewed in Prog
  magazine: "The result is the best sounding Haze album yet\, with the band
  free to concentrate on playing the music\, and the inevitable constraints
  on studio time also helping to bring out the free-flowing\, seat-of-the-p
 ants improvisation which has made Haze one of the best live acts around."

 s is essentially the brain child of Nottinghamshire based musician and wri
 ter Peter Jones\, who has been involved in the music industry performing a
 round the UK and recording his own material since the late 90s. At fifteen
  months Pete lost his sight due to Retinoblastoma. From an early age he wa
 s into all things musical and at the age of four had his first piano. Pete
 r composed from an early age\, usually in the form of improvisations which
  he would capture on his cassette recorder. "I would often write songs or 
 instrumentals around a story or event. Sometimes these could be quite long
  pieces with unconventional structures. I suppose I always had a free form
  approach to composing\, and although I didn't know it at the time\, I was
  writing music with progressive leanings from the age of eight well in to 
 my teens." At the beginning of 2013\, Pete started work on a new project. 
 This took the form of a concept album\, and it was the first progressive m
 usic he had written since he was a teenager. Since that album he has recor
 ded and produced his own original music under various names including Tige
 r Moth Tales. He also works with the band Red Bazar and has recorded with 
 the Colin Tench Project. He performed on the 2015 remake of Steve Hackett'
 s Spectral Mornings. In 2016 he was selected to join Andy Latimer's band C
 amel. He worked with band Barock Project on their 2017 Detachment album\, 
 singing lead vocals on 2 songs\, contributing lyrics to 3 songs. In 2021 h
 e also joined the progressive rock band Cyan. In 2023 he also joined the p
 rogressive rock band The Bardic Depths as a full-time member. His vocals c
 an also be found on Lee Abraham's albums. Since 2015\, Peter has presented
  a bi-weekly radio show on Progzilla Radio\, entitled Tales from the Tiger
