DESCRIPTION:Our October show is something that will be really special as w
 e welcome Burning Rope. The multi award winning blues rock band Catfish lo
 st their frontman Matt Long to cancer in October 2024 aged just 29. There 
 can be no Catfish without Matt\, but the rest of the band wanted to contin
 ue to play and write together\, so have started a new band called Burning 
 Rope along with superb Gloucestershire based guitarist Alex Voysey. With a
  busy gig list already\, including some festivals we are lucky to get them
  to play in Warrington. As support we thought it fitting to bring back The
  New Kid\, who played here last year. Caz knew Matt Long well and gave an 
 emotional vocal tribute to him last time. This acoustic blues duo has made
  a significant impact with their soulful performances and undeniable talen
 t. The New Kid's music is a delightful blend of traditional blues with a m
 odern twist. Their acoustic setup allows for a raw and authentic sound tha
 t resonates deeply with listeners. The guitar work is intricate yet soulfu
 l\, weaving melodies that are both haunting and beautiful. The vocals are 
 rich and emotive\, perfectly complementing the instrumental prowess of the

 t to availability) The Olde Barn is a convenient and friendly venue with p
 lenty of free car parking. It has a well stocked bar with a wide selection
