 oser\, conductor\, clarinetist\, pianist\, DJ\, and recording engineer wit
 h over 35 years of experience as a performer. A 2025 United States Artist 
 Fellow and current Artist in Residence at Northwestern University's Black 
 Arts Consortium\, Dawid is recognized as one of the defining voices of con
 temporary Afrofuturism — her practice bridges classical composition\, go
 spel\, jazz\, and avant-garde improvisation with speculative aesthetics an
 d archival research.\n\nSince her debut album The Oracle (2019\, Internati
 onal Anthem Recording Co.)\, which she produced\, performed\, and engineer
 ed entirely herself\, Dawid has established herself as a singular composit
 ional voice. Her 14-movement work The Souls of Black Folk Suite premiered 
 at Chicago's Harris Theater in 2026\, following the commissioned piece Blk
  Metropolis Apocalypse\, which she premiered with the string ensemble D-Co
