SUMMARY:Ella Feingold + Charlie Hunter
LOCATION:Fox And Firkin
DESCRIPTION:Ella Feingold and Charlie Hunter are making their first London
appearence together on October 16 at the Fox & Firkin.\n\nThe two friend
’s debut album ‘Different Strokes for Different Folks’ marks a full-
circle moment for Ella Feingold\, who first saw Charlie Hunter performing
in the late '90s. She never imagined that decades later\, she’d be playi
ng and recording alongside him as both a peer and a friend. Today\, Hunter
describes her as “one of the baddest\, greasiest guitar players on the
planet.” They could be described as a supergroup of soul music with each
having collaborated with the likes of Erykah Badu\, Bootsy Collins\, Brun
 o Mars/Silk Sonic\, the Roots\, Meshell Ndegeocello\, D’Angelo and Kurt
Elling (just to name a few) over the last 30 years.\n\nIt’s music that
’s complex but never complicated.\n\nIt’s music for rolling the window
s down and cruising.\n\nIt’s music that makes your neck sore.\n\nIt’s
music to get lost in and let your mind wander.\n\nIt’s music to sing ove
r.\n\nIt’s music that makes you want to pick up your instrument and play
along.\n\nIt’s music that takes its time.\n\nIt’s minimalist funk.\n
\nFresh off of a magical set at the Newport Jazz Festival you can be assur
ed this will be the funkiest room in South East London.\n\nThis is an earl
 y show\, don’t be late.\n\nBoletos: https://dice.fm/event/92n9vd-ella-fe
