 rities on DNA and genetic research. Director of the Milner Centre for Evol
 ution at the University of Bath\, she is known for her academic work leadi
 ng the genetics and identification of Richard III\, advising on the case o
 f Mary Jane Kelly (the last victim of Jack the Ripper)\, and leading the p
 roject on sequencing Hitler’s genome. In The Secrets of Our DNA\, she o
 pens a dazzling window into the world of modern genetics\; takes us on a j
 ourney to understand the real science behind some of the world’s most fa
 mous crimes\; and explains how genetics informs every aspect of our lives.
