DESCRIPTION:The Wedding Present have been one of the UK's most loved bands 
 since forming back in 1985. Via records such as 'George Best'\, 'Seamonste
 rs' and 'Take Fountain' they grew into an intriguing outfit drawing on inf
 luences from The Fall and The Buzzcocks and adding their unique stamp to r
 emain as relevant now as almost 40 years ago. During 2026 The Wedding Pres
 ent will be playing a series of concert dates to commemorate the 35th anni
 versary of the release of their pivotal long-player\, Seamonsters. Followi
 ng the release of Seamonsters - which was recorded by the legendary Steve 
 Albini in twelve days during 1991 - The Guardian noted that: “Albini has
  given The Wedding Present considerable weight\, with Gedge’s voice tric
 kling between banks of scowling guitars” and went onto feature it in its
  list of ‘1\,000 albums to hear before you die’. Despite its uncomprom
 ising sound\, the album reached No. 13 in the British album charts and has
  been hailed as a classic. On all concert dates the band will play Seamons
 ters in its entirety along with other songs carefully selected from their 
 extensive repertoire. RCA Records are also commemorating the anniversary w
 ith limited edition re-release of the album on ‘Deep Sea Blue’ colour
