 that bring together perspectives from three women overcoming barriers on p
 ersonal\, professional\, and recreational fronts - breaking trail for many
  to come.  \nWhether you are an alum\, friend\, applicant\, or just love 
 getting outside\, this event is open to all genders in the Vancouver/Sea 
 to Sky backcountry community committed to building spaces where everyone b

 \nBeauty in a Fall — finding authenticity after adversity\, featuring mo
 untain guide Julianna Howatt who seeks to embrace her identity as a trans 
 woman following a fierce struggle with cPTSD\nClimbing Through — presenc
 e among guiding\, counselling and motherhood\, featuring the 5th female Am
 erican guide certified by the International Federation of Mountain Guides 
 Association\, Julia Niles\nZing Zing Bar (new trailer) — three different
  relationships with India\, home and identity\, directed by and featuring 
 Mountain Mentors alum Sarah Carriere\n\nPanel discussion with cast and fil
 mmakers\nSilent auction and door prizes \nMusic\, activities to meet and 
 mingle\, and more…\n\nAll proceeds from this fundraiser will support Mou

 Italiana at Seaside Hotel on the ground floor / next to the parking ramp o
 n the parking level) and not the double elevators\, as those only go to th

 ntain Mentors is a community committed to self-development and support in 
 the backcountry and beyond. Our vision is backcountry spaces where everyon
 e belongs and feels safe. We realize this vision through facilitating one-
 on-one mentorship pairings for marginalized genders\, including women\, no
 n-binary\, gender non-conforming\, trans masculine and trans feminine folk
 s. We recognize that intersectionality affects an individual's experience
 \, and aim to provide programming that is inclusive and accessible. We off
 er backcountry mentorship programming in the summer (hiking\, climbing) an
 d the winter (ski touring\, split-boarding). Each season\, we pair mentees
  and mentors and provide the programming to empower pairs to define their 
 objectives to experience growth. \nApplications for our winter cohort wil
 l be open from Sep 18-Oct 4! \nAbout the films\nBeauty in a Fall\nIn her 
 toughest adventure yet\, Revelstoke mountain guide seeks to embrace her tr
 ue identity as a trans woman following a debilitating struggle with PTSD. 
 After having taken a step back from her role in the mountain community\, J
 ulianna Howatt is now ready to share her story and use her experience to a
 dvocate for an inclusive future for the guiding community. Visiting the mo
 untain-scapes that were her livelihood she will confront her past experien
 ces and her journey's cost. \nClimbing Through\nMotherhood\, guiding\, he
 r own counselling practice—professional climber Julia Niles has danced b
 etween responsibilities for years. Lured by her friend\, pro athlete Em Pe
 llerin\, to go climb the big walls of Cochamó Valley\, Chile\, Julia rele
 arns what it means to thrive. High off the deck\, tied together\, every ac
 tion becomes a powerful reminder to slow down and embrace the present. And
  the experience becomes the fuel for what’s to come.\nZing Zing Bar (ful
 l film coming soon)\nThree women with Indian roots come together to ride i
 n the Himalayas\, bringing three very different relationships with India\,
  home\, and identity into the mountains. \nSarah was born in India but le
 ft as a child. Cindy was born in Manali and now spends much of her year ab
 road. Julienne grew up in Norway with Indian Heritage through her father. 
 As they move through the mountains with local guides\, their different rel
