 udini and The Sucker Punch\, which scooped the AUK album of the year 2024 
 despite Pete describing it thus: “This one is not very Americana\, to be
  accurate. It’s more sort of poppy stuff. For instance\, I’m a huge Sm
 iths fan. I was trying to make some of the chord progressions a little bit
  more like theirs rather than Neil Young-like. Although Neil Young is a ma
 ssive influence\, so he’ll always creep in there somewhere. But so is Ni
 ck Drake. So\, I’m trying to keep it a bit more English\, just where I
 ’m from\, and I like a lot of English music as well as the American.”T
