 p. Committee of Sleep are a four-piece lo-fi pop band from the North of th
e UK\, crafting textured\, emotionally driven songs that drift between sho
egaze\, bedroom pop\, and DIY experimentation. Fronted by songwriter Olly
Lightfoot\, whose 2022 cancer diagnosis informs much of the band’s lyric
al landscape\, their music explores themes of love\, loss\, renewal\, and
quiet gratitude. Blending nylon-string guitars\, cascading drums\, warm ba
sslines\, and hazy harmonics\, the band create a sound that feels intimate
\, dreamlike\, and deeply human.Their debut EP Ruling Overturned arrives i
n April 2026\, led by the single The Planet of Chocolate Bars\, a lucid\,
reflective track recorded in a rural cottage over New Year’s 2025. Commi
ttee of Sleep have shared stages with Yowl\, Legss\, HighSchool\, Cruush\,
Constant Smiles\, Pebbeldash\, Midnight Rodeo and Bloodworm. Sitting some
where between Duster\, Bedhead\, Elliot Smith\, Slowdive\, Pixies and Guid
ed By Voices\, the band continue to build a world of introspective\, DIY-s
pirited indie built on honesty and atmosphere.Kamera is the brand new venu
e upstairs at Lloyd & Platt (formerly The Lloyd’s) in Chorlton – by th
e team behind the Castle Hotel and Gullivers. The pub downstairs offers In
