  Present Tense\, a five-day teaching residency exploring performance as a 
 form of group research and collective practice. The evening features perfo
 rmances by JJJJJerome Ellis and Agat Sharma alongside work in progress dev
 eloped by Field Studies participants with the artists during the residency
 .\n\n**JJJJJerome Ellis: Exposure**\n\nJJJJJerome will present a continuin
 g work titled Exposure\, a photo series investigating stutter and earth. E
 llis approaches different plants and tells them how grateful he is for the
 m\, opening the camera’s shutter when he begins to stutter and closing i
 t when the stutter stops. The photographs become ‘documents of lessons
 ‘\, with Ellis approaching the plant as teacher and the stutter as a kin
 d of classroom.\n\n**Agat Sharma: Heartbreak**\n\nAgat Sharma and Field St
 udies participants are writing Heartbreak\, a narrative performance that d
 raws on a series of heartbreaks lived through in the six years since his m
 ove to the Netherlands. Sharma writes the text in public\, drafting it dur
 ing the residency with participants he has not met\, oversharing by design
  and open to input from anyone who recognises what he is going through. Th
 e writing becomes an account of what remains after loss\, all this love th
