 es Fussell has established himself as a devoted listener and contemplative
  interpreter of a vast array of so-called folk songs\, lovingly sourced fr
 om a personal store of favorites. He has released five studio albums to-da
 te\, beginning with his self-titled debut album.\n\nHis most recent studio
  album When I’m Called was produced by James Elkington and features the 
 playing of Ben Whiteley (The Weather Station)\, Joe Westerlund (Bon Iver\,
  Califone)\, and others. Blake Mills contributes guitars on several tracks
 . Joan Shelley and Robin Holcomb provide backing vocals. In their review o
 f the record\, Pitchfork wrote: “No other American singer is repurposing
  our old folk scripts with so much authority or ingenuity.”\n\nMore rece
 ntly\, Fussell and Elkington collaborated on the music for Rebuilding – 
 a feature film directed by Max Walker-Silverman and starring Josh O’Conn
 or. A soundtrack of the same name was released on Fat Possum Records in No
 vember 2025.\n\nSpecial guest is Naima Bock. Most of the writing of Naima 
 Bock’s second album\, Below A Massive Dark Land (Sub Pop)\, was a solita
 ry affair. It may not sound it – it’s made up of strong\, purposeful a
 rrangements with a huge host of musicians\; filled with cradling space and
  warm light. This will also come as a surprise to anyone who has seen Naim
 a perform in the time since the release of her 2022 debut Giant Palm\, und
