 – one of Australia’s foremost percussionists Amadou Suso (kora) – ma
 ster Gambian griot and virtuoso of the 21-string kora Yunior Terry Cabrera
  (bass) – internationally acclaimed Cuban bassist and composer Julien Wi
 lson (saxophone) – Award winning Australian saxophonist and improviser I
 nspired by the groundbreaking work of Afrocubismo\, Africubism journeys ac
 ross the Atlantic to trace the shared rhythmic DNA of Mandé music and Afr
 o-Cuban traditions. From the rolling cascades of kora lines to the polyrhy
 thmic drive of rumba and son\, the project reveals the circular migration 
 of melody\, groove and spirit between West Africa and the Caribbean. Rathe
 r than recreating repertoire\, Africubism reimagines this dialogue through
  original compositions and improvisation. The ensemble bridges griot story
 telling\, Cuban rhythmic architecture\, contemporary jazz language and dia
 sporic groove\, creating music that is at once ancestral and forward-looki
 ng. Gamelan DanAnda will be bringing the fireworks and blazing interlockin
 g of Balinese Gamelan Gong Kebyar to the Bolt Ensemble. Gamelan DanAnda mo
 st often perform traditional Balinese repertoire everywhere from Australia
 's leading festivals to community gatherings\, but they also have a divers
 e contemporary fusion practice with successful collaborations with Joelist
 ics\, Komang\, Firetail\, and their award-winning soundtrack to the Diets
