 choa\, Broken Wings is inspired by the life and art of Mexican painter Fri
 da Kahlo. Called an intensely vivid spectacle by San Francisco Classical V
 oice\, Broken Wings has been seen around the world in cities such as Londo
 n\, Amsterdam\, Chicago\, Houston\, and San Francisco. The ballet features
  surrealist imagery taken from Kahlos art\, a score by Peter Salem that in
 corporates elements of Mexican folk music\, and characters from her life\,
  including her husband and creative partner Diego Rivera. The program will
  also include a revival of James Sofrankos A Dreamer\, inspired by the lif
 e and studies of theoretical astrophysicist Stephen Hawking\, featuring a 
 score by Philip Glass and Ludwig van Beethoven.
