DESCRIPTION:The Stems are one of Australia's most influential garage rock 
 bands\, roaring out of Perth in the mid-'80s with a sound that captured th
 e raw spirit of '60s garage punk\, fuzzed-out guitars and timeless power p
 op. Formed in 1983 by Dom Mariani\, the band quickly became one of the def
 ining names of Australian independent rock alongside acts such as The Hood
 oo Gurus and The Sunnyboys. Their classic debut album At First Sight\, Vio
 lets Are Blue (1987) is widely regarded as one of the great Australian rec
 ords of its era\, earning national and international acclaim and later bei
 ng named by Rolling Stone among the Top 100 Australian Albums of All Time.
  Since reforming in the early 2000s\, The Stems have continued to build a 
 reputation for electrifying live performances while remaining as vital and
  influential today as ever. Having played The Corner before\, it's only fi
 tting that The Stems return as part of our 30th birthday celebrations. For
  three decades\, The Corner has been at the heart of Australia's live musi
 c scene\, championing legendary artists alongside the next generation of t
 alent. As we celebrate 30 years\, we're thrilled to welcome back one of Au
 stralia's true garage rock icons. Plus\, they'll be joined by The Johnnys
