SUMMARY:Luxury Stranger at The Fulford Arms\, York
LOCATION:York The Fulford Arms
DESCRIPTION:- Luxury Stranger finally return to one of the band's favourit
e venues – York's The Fulford Arms. This show also plays part of the ban
d's 20th Anniversary celebrations! Very special guests are to be announced
... This is a 16+ event. Luxury Stranger is an independent dark post-punk
/ rock influenced band with one eye on the past and the other always looki
ng towards the future... Formed in 2006 by singer/songwriter Simon York\,
"easily one of the finest vocalists in the UK" (Reflections of Darkness ma
gazine)\, the band has toured extensively across the UK and on the mainlan
d\, and shared the stage with legends... Since the Pandemic\, LS have been
recovering from several personal traumas while also working on a new albu
m and playing live shows when possible. Now\, the band is ready to return
to its place as "one of the UK's stand out dark alternative acts” (Spher
e Magazine). "York's voice with its raucous timbre reminded more of the on
e of a rock singer. But it also gave the song a bolshie appearance... proo
f that York's voice could shine even brighter on atmospherically calm song
s." (live review\, Reflections of Darkness magazine) "Think of early U2 wh
en they were still good. This is of that calibre." (Penny Black Music maga
zine) "...they just do the song thing so well..." (Mick Mercer) "Though th
e scene has had a feast or famine existence recently\, the city[Nottingham
]'s hard working Luxury Stranger has done more than most to keep the flag
flying" (Vive Le Rock magazine)\n\nBoletos: https://wegottickets.com/event
