SUMMARY:THREE RELEASES. ONE NIGHT. - The Arcade Lights\, Tom Reagan and L
achy Dods celebrate new music at Indian Ocean Hotel\, Scarborough
LOCATION:Indian Ocean Hotel
DESCRIPTION:Indian Ocean Hotel Scarborough will host a night of new Wester
n Australian music on Friday 11 September\, with The Arcade Lights\, Tom R
eagan and Lachy Dods coming together to celebrate the release of three new
projects on the one stage. With two debut EPs and a new single being cele
brated on the night\, the show brings three very different emerging artist
s together for what will effectively be three release parties in one night
. THE ARCADE LIGHTS — The Path Less Travelled Perth pop-rock/punk-rock
band The Arcade Lights will launch their debut EP\, The Path Less Travelle
d — the first of three major releases planned by the band in 2026. Drawi
ng from songs and collaborations developed over the past five years\, The
Path Less Travelled introduces the sound The Arcade Lights have been build
ing towards: upbeat rock combining elements of nostalgic pop-punk\, modern
pop-rock\, big choruses and guitar-driven hooks. It is an energetic and d
eliberately accessible record\, designed to capture the feeling of the pop
-punk and rock music many listeners grew up with while bringing that sound
into something distinctly their own. At the centre of The Arcade Lights i
s a simple philosophy: music should give people permission to let go. Thei
r live shows are built around bringing out the energy people normally keep
  bottled up — creating a space where audiences can move\, sing\, jump\,
yell and express themselves without worrying about what anybody else think
 s. That energy is introduced immediately on the EP's opening track and lea
d single\, “Upside Down.” The song takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the
world around us and the feeling that\, particularly since COVID\, much of
what once seemed normal has been completely turned upside down. Built aro
und a catchy\, pop-driven singalong and an arrangement that continues to b
uild as the track progresses\, “Upside Down” acts as the entry point t
o the EP — giving first-time listeners a clear indication of what they a
re in for when they hear The Arcade Lights. The story behind The Path Less
Travelled also extends to its artwork. The EP cover began with a photogra
ph taken during the filming of the band's music video for “That's What F
riends Are For.” Wanting the members to appear only as silhouettes benea
th a dramatic night sky\, the final artwork combines the band photograph w
ith six separate images of the stars photographed by frontman Zen Frost wh
ile stargazing in his hometown of Esperance. Its red and pink neon treatme
nt represents the first chapter of a planned trilogy of releases\, with th
e artwork across the series drawing from the neon colours associated with
The Arcade Lights' visual identity. TOM REAGAN — In Company Tom Reagan w
ill celebrate the release of his debut EP\, In Company \, released on 4 Se
ptember 2026 . The record arrives during a significant period of change in
Reagan's life\, following his move away from home to study music and cont
inue writing and performing in Perth. In Company explores many of the chan
ges that followed that transition — shifting relationships\, independenc
e\, distance and the challenge of leaving behind a familiar life while att
empting to build a new one. The result is a personal debut documenting a y
oung songwriter navigating change and beginning to establish his identity
as an artist and performer. LACHY DODDS — Cheesy Lachy Dodds will celebr
ate the release of his new single\, Cheesy . Drawing inspiration from the
emotional directness of 1950s-style love songs\, Cheesy explores the highs
\, lows and messy back-and-forth of falling in and out of love. Romantic w
ithout pretending relationships are simple\, the track captures the contra
dictions that come with wanting somebody while navigating everything that
can pull two people together — and apart. THREE RELEASES. ONE NIGHT This
is your opportunity to discover three emerging WA artists\, hear their la
test releases performed live and be part of three separate release celebra
tions in a single night . Hosted at one of Perth's best-known live music v
 enues.\n\nBoletos: https://tickets.oztix.com.au/outlet/event/87109702-5600
