SUMMARY:Queer fungi walk
LOCATION:Hackney Marshes
DESCRIPTION:Join Bogdana Ababii for a wander through Hackney’s marshes\,
  getting to know the fungi quietly flourishing beneath our feet\, on trees
  and among the marsh’s’ wilder corners. Led by Bogdana\, the walk will
  introduce participants to the basics of fungi identification while explor
 ing mushrooms as much more than isolated specimens. Together\, we’ll con
 sider fungi as collaborators and important allies within our shared natura
 l-cultural ecologies\, forming kinships\, thriving through interdependence
  and challenging the boundaries between individual lives.Expect close look
 ing\, collective learning and plenty of frolicking. No previous fungi know
 ledge is needed just curiosity\, weather-appropriate clothing (once you bo
 ok your slot\, we'll let you know about what you need a couple of days in 
 advance) and a willingness to get a little entangled. What to bring:- walk
 ing shoes or bootsweather-appropriate clothes that feel most comfortable t
 o you (waterproofs\, warmer layers\, a warm hat\, gloves etc.)- bottle of 
 water or flask with hot drink- ⁠snacks to keep you nourishedWe can provi
 de a portable stool if needed (please contact us ahead of the event). We w
 ill be providing fungi ID keys/ books and hand lenses.The route may take u
 s through different habitats on uneven terrain\, however the final route a
 nd the pace will be dictated by the needs of the group on the day. The wal
