  Vivaldi-Spezialist\, doch mit solchen Schubladen möchte er nichts zu tun
  haben. Umso mehr mit Musik\, die zeitlos ist und das Publikum direkt ansp
 richt. \n»Ich bin kein Operndirigent und kein ›Barockmusiker‹\, ich m
 ache einfach Musik«\, so Spinosi. Darum klingt es auch immer in erster Li
 nie ganz undogmatisch und musikantisch\, wenn er die Alten Meister ins Hie
 r und Jetzt holt – und das bereits zum achten Mal gemeinsam mit den Musi
 ker*innen des hr-Sinfonieorchesters. Im Zentrum steht diesmal Händels »W
 assermusik« – eine Klangpracht\, auf die das Programm quasi schrittweis
 e vorbereitet\, nämlich durch Concerti für zwei\, drei\, schließlich vi
 er Soloinstrumente. Dabei kommt auch Vivaldi zu Wort\, Spinosi ist hier be
 i seinen Wurzeln – wobei er weiß: »Vivaldis Musik verträgt keine Rout
 ine. Man muss bei jeder Aufführung innerlich beteiligt sein und sie neu r

 says violinist and conductor Jean-Christophe Spinosi. He was initially reg
 arded as a Vivaldi specialist\, but he wants nothing to do with such label
 s. All the more so with music that is timeless and speaks directly to the 
 audience. \n \n»I am not an opera conductor and not a ‘Baroque musician
 ’\; I simply make music«\, says Spinosi. That is why it always sounds\,
  first and foremost\, completely undogmatic and musical when he brings the
  old masters into the here and now – and this is already the eighth time
  he has done so together with the musicians of the Frankfurt Radio Symphon
 y Orchestra. This time\, the focus is on Handel’s »Water Music« – a 
 sonic splendor for which the program prepares the audience step by step\, 
 so to speak\, through concertos for two\, three\, and finally four solo in
 struments. Vivaldi also gets a chance to shine here\; Spinosi is returning
  to his roots—though he knows: »Vivaldi’s music brooks no routine. Yo
 u have to be emotionally invested in every performance and take a fresh ri
