DESCRIPTION:Studio Somewhere Invites: Tamm Reynolds Tamm started writing a
 nd performing nearly 10 years ago because they felt alone and angry and wa
 nted people to take a sodding hint. After slopping their crippled guts out
  in the cabarets and basement clubs expecting the inebriated audiences to 
 enact social change\, when everything either stayed the same or got worse\
 , Tamm got burnt out. Art is about expression\, not expectation. The creat
 ive process can be curious\, not just furious. It's a provocative world ou
 t there\, especially if you're a weirdo/freak/social reject/etc. Tamm is a
  provocative artist and is also drawn to provocative art (with the occasio
 nal popcorn pleaser too). Making art which is inherently political and per
 sonal takes a toll. Even with all of the access and wellbeing and time and
  space and boundaries plopped into the process. What often happens is the 
 personal and political overrides the creative process. Leaving the maker y
 earning for fun and finding themselves in the suffering artist role again.
  The audiences leave feeling guilty\, cynical and a bit like they've heard
  it before. Life is hard enough. We are lucky enough to be making art. How
  do we as fucked up artists make work which doesn't fuck us over? About th
 e FacilitatorTamm Reynolds is an artist and drag queen living in London. T
 hey often perform as their alter-ego\, Midgitte Bardot. As well as drag\, 
 their activity stretches across performance art\, theatre and video. They'
 re a crip\, queer\, trans. They host and co-curate the almost monthly even
 t Midgitte Bardot’s Personal Spot (produced by Willy Amott)\, first at P
 eckham Levels and now roaming London and beyond. Previous credits include 
 Sound of The Underground (Royal Court Theatre)\, Supernormal Festival\, Br
 itish Vogue\, the Southbank Centre\, and a single drag number for one nigh
 t on a West End stage. Over the years they've eceived support from: Arts C
 ouncil England\, BAC\, Live Art Development Agency\, ArtsAdmin\, Heart of 
 Glass\, DaDa\, CRIPtic\, BUZZCUT.Reynolds (in collaboration with Nicol Par
 kinson) finished a sold-out-extended-run of their new show Shooting From B
 elow (exploring the history of dwarfism via the lens of Midgitte's delusio
 nal perspective) at Southbank Centre’s Purcell Room in April 2026. About
  Studio Somewhere InvitesStudio Somewhere Invites is an experiment in self
 -directed artist development. Scotland based artists are invited to recomm
 end leading practitioners from across the world to deliver a workshop or t
 alk they feel would be influential for their own development or make a pos
