 ymphony once again presents festive and winter-themed music from many coun
 tries in its popular Christmas concert for the whole family: by turns magi
 cal and contemplative\, and at other times virtuosic and breathtaking. Fea
 turing a concerto for two oboes\, Italian opera music without singing\, a 
 familiar television tune of typical Baroque splendour\, dreamy Hollywood f
 ilm music – and\, of course\, »The Nutcracker«. But the best is saved 
 for last\, when the 2\,000-strong choir joins together at the Alte Oper to
  sing Christmas carols with symphonic accompaniment. Under the musical dir
