DESCRIPTION:TV SMITH was founder member\, singer and songwriter for the Adv
 erts\, who formed in late 1976 and were one of the leading bands in the fi
 rst wave of British punk rock. They gained cult success with the Stiff Rec
 ords single "One Chord Wonders." And their next release\, "Gary Gilmore's 
 Eyes" became a top twenty hit record. The album that followed in early 197
 8\, "Crossing the Red Sea with the Adverts\," is still considered a genuin
 e classic of the era and is often cited as one of the twenty best punk alb
 ums ever released. The Adverts released one more album\, “Cast Of Thousa
 nds\,” before they split in 1979. Slammed by the critics at the time\, t
 he album was later re-released to universal acclaim\, and described by Moj
 o magazine as the “long lost punk album that rivals The Clash’s ‘Lon
 don Calling’.” TV most recent album is entitled “Handwriting\,” an
 d was released in April 2024 on the Easy Action label. Recorded in collabo
 ration with renowned producer and multi-instrumentalist Gerry Diver\, the 
 pair created a record with a thrilling totally new musical landscape using
  no conventional rock instruments. Many critics called it the best album o
 f his career. “Handwriting’ is a perfect album” (Henry Rollins) Fier
 cely independent and proudly embodying the original spirit of punk rock\, 
 TV performs as an acoustic solo artist all over the world\, as well as pla
 ying occasional gigs with backup bands. Over the past few years he has sup
 ported Stiff Little Fingers\, the Damned and Ruts DC on major tours in the
  UK\, and played headline tours throughout the UK\, Europe\, the U.S.A and
  Japan. In 2025 he set off on a world tour which included the UK\, Germany
 \, Switzerland\, Finland\, Ireland\, Brazil\, Argentina\, Uruguay and Nort
 h America\, and he already has many gigs planned for 2026\, including a to

 r 999 taten – die 11 im fußball-affinen Gürtellokal ja keine ganz bede
 utungslose Zahl! Der Nightwalk Auftritt 2016 dabei eines der vielen Highli
 ghts der sporadischen Bandgeschichte. Auch beim anderen speziell leiwanden
  Popfest der Stadt\, dem Volksstimmefest\, spielten THE CLASHINISTAS schon
  2014 ihre Interpretationen der so unkaputtbaren und ungebrochen wichtigen
  Songs der „only band that matters“\, THE CLASH – nach WANDA (!) und
  mit dem wunderbaren SIGI MARON im Publikum … Bei jenem Konzert debütie
 rte Lars Bulnheim am Bass\, mit ihm das bis heute bestehende Line-Up der B
 and: Lelo Brossmann (Gitarre\, Tasten\, Stimme)\, Candy (Drums\, Stimme)\,
  Rainer Krispel (Vokale Strummerisms\, Posing) und Franz Reisecker (Gitarr
 e\, Stimme). Anlässlich des 40jährigen Bestehens des herzlich wertgesch
 ätzen CHELSEA heute mit dem grandiosen TV SMITH die Bühne teilen zu kön
 nen – ein schöner Wahnsinn\, die CLASHINISTAS werden sicher das Extra-Q
