 oved to the United States in 1990 to study under the legendary jazz theori
 st and composer George Russell at the New England Conservatory of Music. U
 nder Russell’s tutelage\, Nakamura honed his craft and developed a profo
 und understanding of jazz theory and composition\, which would become fund
 amental to his innovative approach to music.\n\nIn 94′ Nakamura moved to
  New York City\, where he quickly became a staple in the vibrant Jazz and 
 Jungle scene. His versatility as a musician and DJ allowed him to collabor
 ate with an impressive array of artists across different genres. Takuya be
 came of members of cult bands such as Jojo’s Mayer’s Nerve and Cocoros
 ie.\n\nHe has worked with legendary figures such as Quincy Jones\, David B
 yrne\, and Arto Lindsay\, bringing his distinctive sound to numerous recor
 dings and live performances.\n\nTakuya Nakamura continues to push the boun
 daries of music\, with recent projects blending his deep jazz roots with c
 utting-edge electronic production. His dedication to his craft and his abi
 lity to transcend genres make him a true pioneer in contemporary music.\n
