 son who have joined forces to produce a unique collection of self-written 
 songs\, which they will be playing live in Beverley! ‘Crazy Man Michael 
 – Unplugged & Acoustic’ will take place at ‘Upstairs at Gemini’ (G
 emini Chocolate) 33 North Bar Within\, Beverley on SATURDAY 21 NOVEMBER 7.
 30pm (Doors/Bar 7pm). Both performers have dipped into their archives for 
 material that reflects a different angle to their usual work. The goal is 
 to find mystical themes and thought-provoking imagery on songs that you ca
 n still tap your feet to! Using mandolin\, ukulele and acoustic/nylon stru
 ng guitars\, their harmonies enhance some intriguing songs.Emily was invit
 ed to sing backing vocals on Martin’s EP ‘The Larun Beat’\, and afte
 rwards\, mainly to keep in touch\, the pair began some ‘tea\, cake and j
 am sessions’ which led this unusual pairing. Their own joint CD entitled
  ‘Songs of Mystery & Imagination’ was recorded at The Corner studio in
  Hull last year and includes one co-written song\, with the others arrange
 d specifically to suit the duo’s style. The pair performed a sell-out sh
 ow at the venue last year\, and return with a totally acoustic set to make
  the most of the intimate space. Martin added “For some live performance
 s we include some well-known songs to enhance the set\, but our heart is i
 n our own material really- songs about the moon\, nature\, the elements an
 d meeting people at crossroads -that sort of thing. It sounds a bit dark\,
  but we have a laugh doing it”. Support is by local songwriter Phil Club
