DESCRIPTION:For more than a decade\, Reuben and the Dark has become one of 
 Canada’s most distinctive voices in modern folk and indie rock\, buildin
 g a catalogue of songs that blur the line between intimate confession and 
 communal anthem. Led by Calgary songwriter Reuben Bullock\, the project ha
 s earned an international following through its emotionally expansive song
 writing\, cinematic sound\, and live performances that transform audiences
  into choirs.\nRaised in the foothills of southern Alberta\, Bullock grew 
 up surrounded by wide-open landscapes\, long winters\, and a family whose 
 love\, struggles and resilience would become lifelong sources of inspirati
 on. Before Reuben and the Dark emerged\, he spent years writing songs whil
 e fronting local bands and working construction jobs\, slowly developing t
 he lyrical honesty and emotional depth that would come to define his work.
  In 2014\, the release of the band’s debut album Funeral Sky introduced 
 a songwriter capable of pairing deeply personal stories with soaring\, cat
 hartic arrangements. Songs from the record quickly found audiences around 
 the world through film\, television and streaming\, establishing Reuben an
 d the Dark as one of Canada’s breakout independent acts.\nOver the years
 \, Bullock has continued to expand the project’s musical vocabulary acro
 ss acclaimed albums including Arms of a Dream (2018)\, Unlove (2019) and I
 n Lieu of Light (2022). While each record explores different emotional ter
 rain\, they share a common thread: an unwavering belief that vulnerability
  can be a form of strength\, and that even the darkest experiences can bec
 ome places of connection.\nThat philosophy has taken Reuben and the Dark a
 cross North America and Europe\, sharing stages with artists including Mum
 ford & Sons\, Vance Joy\, Boy & Bear\, The Paper Kites\, and Half Moon Run

 a and abroad. Along the way\, the band’s music has appeared in dozens of
  film and television productions—including Ted Lasso\, Grey’s Anatomy
 \, The Good Doctor\, Station 19\, The Order\, The Last of Us\, and El Cami
 no - introducing Reuben and the Dark’s songs to audiences far beyond the
  concert stage.\nWhat has remained constant is Bullock’s commitment to w
 riting from lived experience. His songs frequently explore grief\, faith\,
  addiction\, healing\, love and the search for meaning - not as abstract i
 deas\, but as realities navigated in real time. Whether performing with a 
 full band\, in collaboration with Indigenous Powwow group\, Bullhorn Singe
 rs\, or alone with an acoustic guitar\, he approaches songwriting less as
