 s magnificent Christ Church Cathedral has resounded to the sound of exquis
 ite choral music and the voices of the country’s best-known actors\, per
 forming readings to celebrate the arrival of the Christmas season. This mu
 ch-loved annual event is Follow the Stars Macmillan Carols\, fund-raising 
 in support of the invaluable work of Macmillan Cancer Support\, and takes 
 place this year on Friday 11th December at 8pm.\nTo mark our 30th annivers
 ary\, we are planning an extra-special celebration\, combining nostalgic e
 lements from our inaugural concert and the talents of the brightest stars 
 of today to entertain and move the audience. We will have celebrity readin
 gs from Sinead Cusack\, Toby Jones and Mel Giedroyc. It will be THE unmiss
 able event of Oxford’s festive calendar and we would love you to join us
 \, filling the cathedral with your voices alongside the world-renowned Oxf
 ord Bach Soloists. An added musical treat this year will be the presence o
 f the celebrated tenor\, Thomas Elwin. To date\, thanks entirely to all th
 ose who have bought tickets over the years and the generous support of the
  event’s sponsors\, we have raised more than £950\,000 - every penny of
  which goes directly to improve the outcome and survival rates of those li
 ving with cancer. How wonderful would it be to be part of the evening that
