 n. After hooking up with South African born brothers Rob (drums) and Oli S
 teadman (bass)\, the band honed their sound and aims\, self-releasing a se
 ries of EPs before finally signing to 4AD for the release of Beachcomber
 ’s Windowsill. Hailed from the rooftops for its melodic magnificence and
  imaginative arrangements\, the album reached the UK Top-15\, which achiev
 ed Gold status\, leading to tours of Europe\, Australia\, America\, numero
 us memorable festival appearances\, and a sold-out show at London’s Some
 rset House.Beachcomber’s Windowsill was followed by acclaimed Top-20 alb
 ums Tales from Terra Firma\, and Bonxie\, both receiving 5-star reviews fr
 om The Guardian. After a 6-year hiatus\, the band returned in 2023 with th
 eir playful 4th album ‘Dig The Mountain!’\, which reached number 7 in 
 the sales charts and saw them further build their dedicated fanbase\, with
  multiple headline sold-out tours in unique venues across the UK and furth
 er afield\, including a run of their popular outdoor ‘Unplucked’ shows
