Your ticket includes: being matched using our technology with a group of people who have similar interests exclusive access to the crazy g olf courses light icebreakers team haystack making introductions access to our "missed connections" programme where we invite people to connect who didn't exchange phone numbers (please note this is dependent on both sides expressing interest and there is a process in place) The plan: From 6pm - arrive\, grab a drink and chat to some new people (94% of people come alo ne and we float around making intros) 7:30pm - head to your first course t o meet a group of people who we've used science to curate you with. Nothin g intense\, just some crazy golf with people with similar interests\, age appropriate and who also happen to be single. We've updated our tech so gr oups are now optimised for both romantic but also platonic matches e.g peo ple of your gender who we hope could become mates. The whole point of thes e groups is to feel like you're having a drink with friends\, with the add ed bonus of meeting new people and knowing everyone is single. After your round\, we'll take a drinks break\, then you'll meet a second group of peo ple you have things in common with over your next course. After groups - e veryone speaks to everyone and our team are all floating if anyone wants w ingmanning. The event basically becomes a bar\, full of interesting people who want to meet new people and none of the "I wonder if they're single" situation. 10pm - event closes (but of course we can stay in the bar and c ontinue the party). How are we doing dating differently? FAQs Are dating events worth it? We have worked very hard to make events for single people that don't feel like a typical "dati ng event" which we know can feel very overwhelming. We just hire out great venues\, invest into fun entertainment\, and match single people together into groups on the evening so you can go on multiple dates in a low-press ure environment. There are always new dating apps popping up\, which all h ave the same culture of ghosting\, shallowness\, and let's be honest we ca n barely keep up with our family's whatsapp chat let alone a dating app. W hat are our dating events? Our events use the power of tech to connect sim ilar single people together. When you arrive to the venue you'll be greete d by our lovely reps\, and then you'll be introduced to your matched group . Depending on the event we will introduce you to another one or two round s of single people\, where we match you by differently weighting the param eters of the algorithm. We re-invest profit into fun entertainment on the evening so you have a great night regardless - and host a range of events from relaxed drinks in a beer garden\, to something a bit more active like arcade games\, to sporty events such as tag rugby or rock climbing. How d o you match single people? When you buy a ticket you fill out a short form with some questions about yourself mapped around research we conducted to what leads to meaningful connections. We then run this through our algori thm which is a propietary points based matching system using python to det ect similarities between each person based on different parameters. We the n spend hours going through each person to make sure there has been no dis crepancies in the data and even more hours to make sure the group ages and ratios are appropriate. Afterwards we analyse each table to make sure the y are placed near tables we think we will match well\, and that are in the best place in the venue based on what we know about the group. How does i t work with data? All data is securely managed in line with our data polic y\, both this and our code of conduct can be found here How does it work w ith social media? We’re a sociable bunch and always like to take short v ideo clips for our social media. We’ll always avoid faces wherever possi ble\, but if you’d rather stay 100% off camera please just come and let the team know on the night so we can make a conscious effort to keep you o ut of any frame! What's the cancellation policy? There’s a huge amount o f work behind the scenes before events to get everyone matched into great groups. If you need to transfer your ticket to a friend\, we do ask please that you pop us an email with their name 7 days before an event so we can move things around. As with every other events company in our space\, we are unable to facilitate refunds\, but we will always do our 100% best to find a solve!x What’s the age group? The average age is 33 but we tend t o attract from early 20s to mid 40s and groupings take age into account. I s this event wheelchair accessible? Yes\, we will never work with a venue that isn’t :) Is this a speed dating event? Absolutely not. The thought of having to effectively pitch yourself\, every two minutes\, to a strange r\, is our worst nightmare and feels the furthest thing in the world away from natural. These events are designed to feel organic and literally like you're having a drink with a group of new friends\, in a great venue. You 'll never see or feel any of the science we do behind the scenes and we ma tch in groups to take the pressure off a one on one meet-up.
