Unter Russells Anleitung vertiefte er sein Verständnis für Jazzth eorie und Komposition\, was später zu einer wichtigen Grundlage seiner ei genen musikalischen Sprache wurde.\n\n1994 zog Nakamura nach New York City \, wo er schnell Teil der lebendigen Jazz- und Jungle-Szene wurde. Seine V ielseitigkeit als Musiker und DJ führte zu Zusammenarbeiten mit Künstler *innen aus unterschiedlichsten Bereichen.
