DESCRIPTION:*I Am the Performative Object* is a dynamic rush of late aftern
 oon and evening performances that close the public event programme of Fiel
 d Studies: Present Tense\, a five-day teaching residency exploring perform
 ance as a form of group research and collective practice. The evening feat
 ures performances by Lin Chiwei\, Maite de Orbe\, Cedrik Fermont\, Martin 
 Sigler + Damsel Elyisum\, alongside work in progress developed by Field St
 udies participants with the artists during the residency.\n\nLin Chiwei is
  working with Present Tense students on a new Tape Score performance. Mait
 e de Orbe presents a urational performance using tracing\, chalk and ampli
 fied sound. Cedrik Fermont brings a performance lecture on relation and en
 counter animated by noise\, electronic and electroacoustic practice. Marti
 n Sigler performs a reading of the eponymous *I Am the Performative Body*
