 rformer and vocalist. Their new album\, Body Build Rate\, is a sonic journ
 ey through electro ambient spoken word\, gothic hymns ruminating on loneli
 ness\, filled with classical influences as well as electro beats. \n\nMani
 atrix writes of loneliness\, struggling with self image\, mortality and va
 nity. They tackle these themes through the lens of modern masculinity\; ma
 niatrix is inspired by bodybuilding competitions\, martial arts machismo\,
  and buttoned up business bourgeois a la Patrick Bateman\, wearing suits a
 nd bearing muscles. \n\nAscetic Practices are an Edinburgh DJ Collective\,
