DESCRIPTION:In their second concert of the fall\, the USF Jazz Orchestra\,
  under the direction of Tom Brantley\, will perform in the Zinober Concert
  Hall on campus. The evening will feature Guest Artist Carl Fischer on tru
 mpet. As a multi-instrumentalist on trumpet\, flugelhorn\, trombone\, and 
 saxophones\, Carl Fischer's ability and talent have established him as a d
 ynamic and sought-after musician throughout the industry. His professional
  path has seen significant milestones\, including performances with the Li
 ncoln Center Jazz Orchestra under Wynton Marsalis and a transformative ten
 ure with jazz trumpet legend Maynard Ferguson\, where Fischer grew to beco
 me a featured soloist\, musical director\, and was even allowed to be the 
 first trumpet player to open for Ferguson in his 40+ years of touring. The
  USF Jazz Orchestra is the top jazz big band at USF. It is a 20-piece trad
 itional big-band jazz ensemble performing both classic and contemporary ar
