DESCRIPTION:This 4-week group education course is for first time parents wh
 o are birthing their baby at Mercy Hospital for Women\, Heidelberg. \nAll 
 4 sessions are held onsite at Mercy Hospital for Women\, Heidelberg and ai
 m to provide you and your support person with professional childbirth educ
 ation.\n\nOur midwifery educators will provide information on a variety of
  topics such as:\n- Labour stages & signs\n- Coming to hospital\n- The imp
 ortance of support in labour - what can they do!\n- Coping with labour at 
 home & in the hospital (including medical options)\n- When assistance is r
 equired for labour & birthing \n- Understanding breastfeeding\n- The early
  weeks with a newborn (safe sleeping\, settling)\n- Recovery post birth \n
 - Supports in hospital & community for the new family\n\nSession Dates: We
 dnesdays on 7 Oct\, 14 Oct\, 21 Oct & 28 October 2026\nSession Times: 5pm 
 -7pm \n\nAll onsite at Mercy Hospital for Women\, 163 Studley Rd\, Heidelb
 erg\n\nPlease Note: \n- 1 ticket is for 2 people (Birthing parent +1 suppo
 rt person) to attend both classes. \n- Book classes to START between 27-32
  weeks pregnancy\n- Please ensure you use the pregnant person's name when 
 you book\n- You must provide your Mercy Hospital for Women (Heidelberg) Me
 dical Record Number to book in.  We will check that you are booked in to h
 ave your baby at MHW Heidelberg.\n- You will receive a confirmation email 
 from Trybooking once you have booked. \n\nPayments & Refunds\n- Each famil
 y is eligible for ONE ticket (1 seat) only.  This includes 2 people - Birt
 hing parent + 1 support person.\n\nMedicare card ticket - FREE - when preg
 nant person:\n- is booked to birth as a public patient at MHW\n- has a val
 id Medicare card (or eligible for reciprocal rights)\n\nNo Medicare card t
 icket - $220 when pregnant person\n- is booked to birth as a private patie
 nt at Mercy Hospital for Women & is not eligible for Medicare\n\nCancellin
 g / Rescheduling\n- If you need to reschedule your class\, please CANCEL y
