 at\n\ngoat are a 5 piece band from Osaka\, Japan using percussion\, sax\, 
 bass\, guitar and electronics to  make precise\, dark and groove-laden min
 imalist music. \n\nFusing powerful urban and tribal percussion with the av
 ant-garde\, their live shows are like nothing else - last time they played
  in Bristol (sold out at Strange Brew in 2023) it was a truly jaw-dropping
 \, awe-inspiring demonstration of musicianship which we absolutely cannot 
 wait to enjoy again.⁠\n\nSince their last performance they have only fur
 ther cemented their mythical status with their 2025 live album 'Without Re
 ferences / Cindy van Acker'. A masterclass in precise acoustic practice an
 d physical movement coordinated by Cindy Van Acker (a choreographer renown
 ed for her meticulous stage direction and work with Mika Vainio) goat lay 
 down super crisp commands and rhythmic geometries that manifest “dancing
  to architecture”. A real highlight of 2025\, it has since been christe
 ned by classic remixes by Ricardo Villalobos that have exposed their work 
 to new audiences and expanded their cult status outside of experimental re
 alms and in into dance music circles. \n\n'Perhaps the tightest band in ex
