 he former Radio Birdman\, Hitmen\, New Christs\, and Screaming Tribesmen g
 uitarist says is “both unfinished business and an obligation”. Chris M
 asuak and his crack band Dog Soldier play Vinnies Dive at Southport on Sun
 day\, October 18 with support from his former Screaming Tribesmen bandmate
 ’s outfit\, Mick Medew and The Ursula 4 \, and local garage rockers The 
 Spivs . “It was frustrating and a bit frightening to have to cancel so a
 bruptly but an emergency operation made air travel out of the question\,
 ” Masuak says. “I’m very happy to finally be able to follow up.” F
 resh from a string of gigs in France\, Germany and Poland\, Masuak and his
  crack Australian band\, Dog Soldier\, will be touring their 2026 album\, 
 “ Chris Masuak’s Dog Soldier ”\, already out on CD and just been rel
 eased on vinyl. Chris Masuak’s Dog Soldier is drummer Stuart Wilson (Lim
 e Spiders\, New Christs\, The Crisps) and Phil Hall (Sardine v\, Drop Bear
 s\, Lime Spiders) and the set list will be drawn from Masuak’s long and 
 storied career. “After warming up in Europe we’re just itching to keep
  it rockin’ and let it rip in front of our Australian friends” Masuak
