 etos\, three-time Latin Grammy nominee\, is a master pianist\, composer an
 d arranger. Throughout his career he has been closely affiliated with the 
 Brazilian master Hermeto Pascoal. He was an integral part of Pascoal's gro
 up from 1977 to1992. This unique concert will pay tribute to Hermeto and J
 ovino's music. \nSunday September 20: Multiple JUNO award winner Brian Di
 ckinson has been a fixture on the Canadian jazz scene for over thirty-five
  years. As a sideman\, he has played on over eighty recordings. For the pa
 st two years\, he has been an active member of the Canadian Jazz Collectiv
 e\, touring and recording in Europe and North America. The Penderecki Stri
 ng Quartet\, approaching the third decade of an extraordinary career\, has
  become one of the most celebrated chamber ensembles of their generation.\
 nFriday October 2: Now celebrating its 46th year\, the 16-piece Jim Gallow
 ay’s Wee Big Band proudly makes its first appearance at Hugh’s Room un
 der the leadership and musical direction of early band member Brigham Phil
 lips on piano. Formed in 1979 as a repertory band specializing in the musi
 c of the great bands of the swing era\, Jim Galloway's Wee Big Band has ov
 er 400 arrangements\, which is perhaps the most extensive repertoire of an
