DESCRIPTION:Mit FARAFINA 2026 – Re:Claim Y:Our Stories wird Hannover vom
  27. August bis 5. September zum Ort für Schwarze Kunst\, Kultur und Erin
 nerung. Das Festival des Afrikanischen Dachverbands Norddeutschland e. V. 
 (ADV-Nord) lädt zu Konzerten\, Lesungen\, Filmen\, Ausstellungen\, Worksh
 ops und Gesprächen ein und schafft Räume für Begegnung\, Empowerment un
 d gesellschaftlichen Dialog.\n\nUnter dem diesjährigen Schwerpunkt dekolo
 niale Erinnerungskultur rückt FARAFINA Schwarze Geschichten und Perspekti
 ven in den Mittelpunkt. Gemeinsam mit Partner*innen entsteht ein öffentli
 ches Archivprojekt\, das Erinnerungen\, Fotografien\, Dokumente und Oral H
 istories aus Schwarzen Communities sammelt und sichtbar macht. Ergänzt wi
 rd das Programm durch internationale künstlerische Kooperationen\, unter 
 anderem mit Kap Verde.\n\nFARAFINA versteht sich als offenes Festival für
  die gesamte Stadtgesellschaft – ein Ort des Austauschs\, der kulturelle
 n Vielfalt und neuer Perspektiven. Das Kulturzentrum Pavillon ist einer de
 r zentralen Veranstaltungsorte dieses besonderen Festivals.\n\n\nEnglish:\
 nWith FARAFINA 2026 – Re:Claim Y:Our Stories\, Hanover becomes a vibrant
  space for Black arts\, culture\, and remembrance from 27 August to 5 Sept
 ember 2026. Organized by "Afrikanischer Dachverband Norddeutschland e. V."
  (ADV-Nord)\, the festival presents a diverse programme of concerts\, read
 ings\, film screenings\, exhibitions\, workshops\, and discussions\, creat
 ing spaces for encounter\, empowerment\, and social dialogue.\n\nThis year
 's focus is on decolonial memory culture\, highlighting Black histories an
 d perspectives. In collaboration with partner organisations\, FARAFINA is 
 developing a public archive project that collects and preserves memories\,
  photographs\, documents\, and oral histories from Black communities\, mak
 ing them accessible to a wider audience. The programme is further enriched
  by international artistic collaborations\, including an exchange with Cab
 o Verde.\n\nFARAFINA is an open festival for the entire community—a plac
 e to experience cultural diversity\, share knowledge\, and discover new pe
