 nymous piano trio led by Asheville\, North Carolina–based pianist Steve 
 Okonski\, featuring Michael Isvara Montgomery on upright bass and Aaron Fr
 azer on drums. Often recording fully improvised performances directly to t
 ape\, the trio’s music has been described as meditative\, introspective
 \, and ethereal.\n\nOkonski’s compositions emphasize space and melody\, 
 pairing expressive piano lines with subtle rhythm and texture. A longtime 
 collaborator with Durand Jones & The Indications\, he has also worked with
  Say She She\, BJ the Chicago Kid\, and Scott McMicken\, among others. All
  three Okonski releases\, including 2025’s Entrance Music are out now on
