  of arts & culture in Acadiana with one of our most treasured traditions
 —Pelican Ball.Hosted at the Acadiana Center for the Arts\, Pelican Ball 
 is a signature fundraiser for arts and culture in our region. It is a cele
 bration of everything that makes our cultural community thrive\, where we 
 gather to recognize individuals who have shaped the arts through their com
 mitment and service.This year\, we are proud to honor renowned cultural do
 cumentary photographerPhilip Gould as Member Emeritus.A champion of Louisi
 ana culture since 1974\, Gould has dedicated over 50 years to documenting 
 the state's vibrant people and traditions\, amassing one of the largest pr
 ivate photographic archives of the region. As a leader and supporter of th
 e Acadiana Center for the Arts\, his lifelong advocacy is deeply rooted in
  Acadiana’s creative community.The perfect date night\, each ticket incl
 udes food\, an open bar\, live music\, and an evening of electric dancing.
  A live auction during the night will provide the only opportunity to acqu
 ire a Pelicans on Parade for your business or a small-scale pelican for yo
 ur home or office.Your ticket purchase directly funds the programs that br
 ing world-class performances to the James Devin Moncus Theater\, thoughtfu
 l visual arts experiences to our gallery spaces\, and helps expand AcA’s
  community programs\, including professional development for local artists
  and Arts in Education experiences for more than 80 schools across the reg
