SUMMARY:David Eagle's winging It
LOCATION:Nottingham The Canalhouse
DESCRIPTION:- Your favourite blind folk-singing comedian returns. Since my
last Nottingham ComedyFestival show I’ve had my own stand-up series on
BBC Radio 4. Nevertheless I’ve notincreased the ticket price\, partly be
cause\, as the title suggests\, I haven’t really decidedyet what this sh
ow will be about. But in fairness\, I’m writing this blurb in June\, and
theshow’s not until November. I’ll probably bang on some more about b
eing blind\, becauseit’s useful to exploit a niche. I’ll probably sing
a song and play the accordion\, because I’ma brazen crowd pleaser. I’
ve got some thoughts about gospel music\, stories about an odd altercation
in an American airport\, a weird experience with a nun and a run-in withs
ome racists in Kent. I might play you some of my weird childhood recording
s that Idiscovered on some old cassettes. I’ve got a poem from the persp
ective of a piece ofdiscarded chewing gum and a song about a misunderstood
  pigeon. In fact\, now that I’vewritten this\, I reckon the show’s goi
ng to be absolutely incredible. I’d suggest bookingyour tickets now\, be
fore misguided hubris leads me to whack up the price.Awards Winner of t
he Spirit of the Fringe Award (previously won by Stewart Lee\, Ross Noble\
,The League of Gentlemen and Adam Hills) Best Variety Show\, Leicester
