g to Erase It All is Fink&rsquo\;s ninth studio album\, following 202
4&rsquo\;s Beauty In Your Wake. Recorded in Zennor\, Cornwall\, the album
was made with a strict era-specific approach. Imagining a record Michael C
hapman might have made\, right down to the guitar strings. Grammy-winning
producer Sam Okell helped guide the process: &ldquo\;If it didn&rsquo\;t e
xist in 1974\, you&rsquo\;re not allowed to use it.&rdquo\;
But this is nowstalgia\, not nostalgia. &ldquo\;I want something new\, bu t with the same ethos\,&rdquo\; singer Fin Greenall explains. There&rsquo\ ;s a parallel between the restless 18-year-olds Fink once were and the aut umn-aged family men they are now. Touring remains a compulsion as much as a joy\, despite having played every major European city countless times. & ldquo\;The need to play your new material is so overwhelming that it trump s all the comforts and trinkets.&rdquo\;
City is a product
of this hunger for discovery\, and idolatry of the album as a form &ndash\
; like we had in 1974. City&rsquo\;s cover mirrors its interior\,
