 Without doubt one of the outstanding gigs of 2024 and '25 or any other yea
 r for that matter\, it is a tremendous pleasure for Howden Live to welcome
  back the Fire & Rain show to Howden at the Shire Hall as a deserved part 
 of our 40th anniversary celebrations.. ‘Fire and Rain’ is not a tribut
 e or sound-a-like act. It’s simply a collection of six of the best music
 ians from the North of England coming together to play music they love. Ex
 pect the classic James Taylor songs including ‘Steamroller Blues’\, 
 ‘Shower the People’\, ‘Fire and Rain’ and\, of course\, ’You’v
 e got a Friend’ plus many other classics played with skill\, passion\, e
 motion\, humour and humility. ‘Fire and Rain’ are all highly regarded 
 musicians in their own right and include Tom Townsend (Lead Guitar and voc
 als)\, Rich Adams (Acoustic Guitar\, vocals and triangle!) Mark Gordon (Ke
 yboards)\, Rowan Oliver (percussion) with Paul Tilley (Drums) and Bob Walk
 er (bass). They occasionally put their own individual musical projects asi
 de to perform the music they love and aspired them to perform\, and to and
  to bring the joy of James Taylor’s music to you in what they call a ‘
 magical musical holiday’. Building upon the success of the last few year
 s\, having performed at various venues including theatres\, ‘Fire and Ra
 in’ are delighted to be able to bring this wonderful concert to Howden L
 ive at The Shire Hall once again. Join with them to celebrate with you the
  songs and music of iconic singer songwriter James Taylor\, from his earli
 est songs to his most recent\, in what will be a memorable evening of firs
 t class entertainment\, featuring several musicians who have been part of 
 Howden Live's musical journey for a little longer than they may care to re
 member.... With Stony in a support slot in recognition of their long term
