DESCRIPTION:With support from James Unsworth - Alastair Gordon started per
 forming original material on the Berlin open mic scene in his late teens. 
 Since then\, his voice has been shaped into a rich baritone through years 
 of busking and a creative approach to guitar and harmonica have been shape
 d by adventurous listening habits. The clearest influences include Nick Dr
 ake\, Charlie Parr and Joni Mitchell. Narrative and character-driven lyric
 s often tackle unconventional subject matter and reflect a life split betw
 een South Yorkshire and North Saxony. In his adopted hometown of Sheffield
  he's supported some of the most exciting artists on the contemporary folk
  scene including Dominie Hooper\, Brown Horse\, Jim Ghedi\, Me Lost Me\, G
 wenifer Raymond and The Brothers Gillespie. Regular touring has seen him h
 eadline at legendary venues near and far such as The Prince Albert in Stro
 ud\, The Cumberland Arms in Newcastle\, Madame Claude in Berlin and The Bi
 cycle Shop in Norwich\, alongside festival appearances at Tonnau (Anglesey
 )\, Eden (Galloway)\, Harlequin Fayre (Norfolk) and Holmfirth folk festiva
 l (Yorkshire). His most recent hometown headline appearance was at Cafe#9
