 highly enjoyable workshop session that aims to challenge\, inspire and bri
 ng out the fun of playing music in a group! Try drumming for the first tim
 e or bring your brass/reed instrument and experience the buzz of playing i
 n an intergenerational band. Led by street band specialists\nOi Musica\, c
 reators of double award-winning youth project Brass Blast\, and renowned U
 K-wide for their\ninventive live performances and inclusive education work
 . Wherever they occur in the world\, street bands are raw\, inventive and 
 unapologetic. They emerge from grassroots\, social music making within\nco
 mmunities\, and whether their focus is celebration\, commemoration or prot
 est\, street band music is about bringing people together. You will\nlearn
  a piece of music by ear\, gain an understanding of how street bands work 
 and what the key performance ingredients are. Expect a relaxed\,\nfriendly
  atmosphere\, plenty of encouragement\, challenge if you want it\, and the
  chance to meet and connect with fellow musicians. Led by Marcus Britton\n
 (brass/reeds) and Sam Ward-Hardy (drums/percussion) \nSuitable for drummer
 s and brass/reeds players age 12 and over.\nBeginner and experienced drumm
 ers are welcome and catered for (samba drums provided).\nIf you are a bras
 s/reed player please bring your own instrument. Some experience on your in
